With Toshiba dropping HD-DVD and many people going for the Blu-ray DVD, it looks like Blu-ray will be the winner out of the 2 formats and HD-DVD will be going straight to the garage or the loft. John Lewis also said that they will not be buying anymore HD-DVD players and many more people buying the Ps3 it looks like Blu-ray is the high def Dvd.

iPhone, coffee and muffin. Is that it?

So you’ve got a iPhone but you want to go to Starbucks but you hate the waiting in line, well soon you will be able to order your cup of java and a muffin before you enter the shop. Apple and Starbucks are the best of friends (well sort of).
Thank you

Have you got computer problems?
If you have, here are some useful tips:
Problems with your sound:
- Make sure your speakers are working by plugging them into an MP3 player or something similar.
- Try using headphones instead of speakers to see if you can hear any sound.
- Make sure your speakers/headphones are plugged into the pale green port.
- Check the volume in windows.
- Check the volume in the program you are using to play the sound.
- If you have a laptop, there may be a seperate volume control on the case of the laptop.
- Try playing sound from a few different sources like a CD, DVD and the hard drive.
Internet Problems:
- Is your computer communicating with your modem/router? Look for a little icon in the bottom right hand corner of the monitor (System Tray). If it is, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
- Turn your modem/router off for one minute then turn it back on. Wait another minute then try again.
- Make sure any Usernames and Passwords are correct.
- If you are getting the error message “Limited or no connectivity” right-click on the connection and click “repair”.
- If you are using dial-up, remove any telephone extension cables and faxes from the line.
Windows Xp isn’t loading:
- Try booting the computer in SAFE MODE (keep tapping F5 as soon as you press the power button. Windows Vista users will then be shown a menu where they need to press F8 to see the SAFE MODE option).
- Write down any error messages.
- If you can, back up all of your important files and folders before calling us just in case the worst happens.
- Have any CDs or DVDs that were supplied with your computer to hand.
If you cant see anything on your screen:
- Restart the computer.
- Try booting the computer in SAFE MODE (keep tapping F5 as soon as you press the power button).
- Unplug the monitor and then plug it in again.
- If you can, try another monitor or try your monitor on another computer.
- If you are using a laptop, try moving the screen forwards and backwards.
CD\DVD Drive won’t play or burn discs:
- Try playing or burning different brands of CDs and DVDs.
- Try different CD\DVD playback and burning software.
- Make sure your CDs and DVDs are clean.
- If the CD or DVD drive won’t open, straighten a paper clip and poke it in the tiny hole at the front of the drive.
If none of the above work,
try these:
- Write down any error messages. Then i can help diagnose the problem.
- Performing a System Restore (Start > All Programs > System Tools > System Restore) often helps.
- Check for driver or firmware updates from manufacturers’ websites.
- Check for patches or updates for programs and games.
- If you haven’t fixed the problem using my simple steps!
- Scan your computer for viruses and spyware.
